My parents built a house in Northern Wyoming about fifteen years ago. Â I haven’t been there as often as I would like, but am heading there in about a week!
Sheridan sits at the top of Wyoming, about two hours south of Billings, Montana.
 Â
The gorgeous Bighorn Mountains are Sheridan’s backdrop, as far as the eye can see.
My brother and his wife are visiting too, so cheers to a mini family reunion!
Long walks every day are on the agenda.
It is going to be a busy six days.
The Wagon Box Inn, Frackelton’s and the Powder Horn are great places for dinner.  The BEST place to get coffee and a delicious meal after yoga is the Red Velvet Cafe.  So cute!
Shopping was on the agenda too.
King’s Saddlery for pretty much everything one would need in the west.
Built in 1907, the historic Mint Bar is a must see!
Twisted Hearts on Main Street has adorable clothes.
The real deal on Main Street.
The Brinton Museum in Big Horn has beautiful artwork and a lovely place to have lunch with a view of the mountains.
     Â
Mom always has a party – Woo Hoo!
There are fun Wyoming side trips. Â Cody is two hours away, Jackson six hours. Â Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park too.
The scenery is the main attraction.
 Â
Sam Morton wrote a great book about this part of Wyoming titled, “Where the Rivers Run North.” Â There is a wonderful movie about the real horse whisperer from this area called BUCK ~ you can find it on Netflix. Â So worth it.
Â
Â
Â
I could go all day with these vistas.
September is the perfect time of year to visit.

Super great job, Liz! Fabulous photos of this great place. Honored to meet you on your memorable trip to the wild and wonderful West. Come back soon!
So happy that you came to visit and took such wonderful pictures of Barry’s and my favorite place. You have to come back and take your lovely walks with Lisa; visiting Betsy and have coffee at the Velvet Cafe and shop a little at the Twisted Hearts. You can add yoga too with darling Michele and Laura.
Love,
Mom
