My mom is moving into new digs after 26 years in her home!
It is a big deal for her, so I am helping smooth the way as much as I can. The first thing we did in her new home was paint the entire place Farrow & Ball Wimborne White, with All White trim. The original walls were a dark taupe, so this quickly lightened everything up.
We are replacing all of the ugly brown doors (left) with two panel doors (right) throughout the house.
With matte black doorknobs and black hinges – going to look GREAT.
The kitchen is getting completely gutted. Mom has a great crew helping her! Beautiful new white cabinets, gorgeous countertops, all new appliances, new lighting – the whole bit.
Mom picked a fabulous bar top with a blue tone in it. We have finally matched the blue so we can pull it through all decor on the first floor – Benjamin Moore Heron Blue was the winning color. We went through SO many samples to find it!
I am gutting the downstairs powder room asap.
This pretty 36″ gray vanity and matching mirror are going in.
Two of these satin nickel Thomas O’Brian Bryant Sconces will go on either side of the mirror.
This is the actual sink with the satin nickel faucet we bought. Lots of sink space to put a Molten Brown hand soap and a lit (Wry Home) candle for ambiance!
Keeping with the blue theme on the first floor, the powder room will be wallpapered in this Indigo & Linen Scion “Tree Circles” wallpaper. LOVE THIS!!! You can see the old taupe wall color here too, so dark.
New towel bars and a toilet paper holder will be put in as well. Haven’t quite picked them out yet, but stay tuned. Any ideas, send them my way!
