I took a quick visit to Nantucket this summer.
The last time I was on Nantucket was four years ago for work. Â This trip was for fun!
We decided to take a little tour of the island. Â I know it sounds cheesy, but I had never seen the entire island before.
Siasconset kicked off the tour. Â My friend Sherry has two gorgeous Siasconset cottages in her family. Â The 300 year-old Gardner House and a second structure that was once the barn to the Old Gardner House.
I spent many post-college weekends at these gems when I was working in Boston.
Beautiful views on our way to town…
 Â
We hit the charming Nantucket town to shop and have some cocktails before we headed home.
We started at one end of the cobblestone street and worked our way through (almost) every store!
So beautiful.
A friend recommended a few places for us to go and have a light bite. Â Cru, Straight Wharf, Lola 41 and Table No 1. Â We went with Cru so we could sit outside and look at the boats in the harbor.
 Â
Â
Â
We had delicious margaritas, chilled rose and some fabulous appetizers. Â The perfect ending to a perfect Nantucket day.
Till next time!

Wish I’d seen you, but so glad you got here! Lovely photos that captured the best of the island.
Wish I had seen you too… So many wonderful memories at the Old Gardner House with Boston friends and the two years I was a sponsor at the Nantucket Film Festival. Love your little island ~ xo
Thanks for the tour of beautiful Nantucket! My fondest memories of the island took place in the Summer of 1978. My father and I ran away from home and, though we were meant to stay just for a few days, we wound up not leaving the Island for a month.
How fun!
You packed a wallop into 24 hours and from the looks of it got a gorge day! Maybe next summer you can feature 24 hours in Newport?!! 🙂
Sign me up! I would love to do 24 hours (or even 48…) in Newport next summer 🙂
