It’s fun to peek inside beautifully decorated rooms. The 2016 Kips Bay Decorator Show House in New York was just that. A lovely townhouse decorated by 22 interior designers. Here are some of my favorite parts ~
Love this bedroom by Timothy Whelon.
Beautiful lamp and side table detail.
Soft, subtle combo of green textured fabric with lavender buttons.
Pretty marble backsplash in the Clive Christian kitchen.
You can DREAM in this living room by Victoria Hagen.
High-gloss red gas fireplace.
Cozy chairs in all shapes and sizes.
Many little bars tucked into rooms.
Soothing family room by Suzanne Kasler.
Moody green salon by Sawyer / Berson. Love the floor!
The terrace off the salon is a little secret garden.
Perfect place to read in your bedroom, designers Olasky & Sinsteden.
Lovely library details by David Kleinberg.
The 6th floor roof deck by Hollander Design peers right into Barney’s windows!
The green/white Dash & Albert rug adds a splash of color.
I went to see Kips Bay on a rainy day, so I felt like I had the place all to myself. Some rooms were definitely not my taste, but those are fun to see too. Check out this fancy dining room by Alex Papachristidis ~
Always inspiring to see how designers interpret a space.
Put it on your calendar for next year!
