In celebration of all things red, white and blue – The Wry Home is having an Independence Day giveaway!
Two Wry Home readers will win a handprinted 19″ x 19″ Erin Flett crab pillow in blue or red (erinflett.com).
Thanks to my friend Carolyn who owns the fabulous home store Lazy Fish on Block Island, I found these adorable pillows.
Hand printed in Maine, they are the perfect addition to all things summer!
Tell me what your favorite 4th of July tradition is in the comment section at the end of this blog post to be eligible for the giveaway.
Entries will be accepted from 7/4/2014 to 7/17/2014 at midnight. The two winners will be announced in my July 18th blog post.
My favorite 4th of July tradition is watching the Block Island parade on the deck of Sullivan Real Estate with Gail, Cindy and the whole gang. Add in their homemade lemonade and a perfectly grilled hot dog, and the day is complete!
Oh, and dressing up Rhino too…..
I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL 4th of July.
Happy Summer!

Hi Liz,
Love this site-you are the so talented!
Really loving your posts, have a great fourth of July!
Happy 4th! Now that Arthur has traveled thru Cape May we will watch the fireworks at Congress Hall Hotel tonight and on 7/5 celebrate with the crowds who flock to this little island (yes, Cape may is an island) to watch the parade pass along Beach Avenue. Trying to dig out a red, white and blue outfit now!
We read the Declaration of Independence and look for William Floyd’s signature. He is the great great great grandfather of my. Daughters, Patricis and Nicolle.
My favorite tradition are the fireworks and this year I got to enjoy them with my grand kids. We had a blast!
The picture of the Jerp w/flag is my sons reclaimed and restore jeep!
He started the Jerp Club of BI and they parade w/flags on the 4th! Love it!
Mary, I took about 10 pictures of that Jeep!
It is the perfect 4th of July car – the best.
I will let Eddie know, he is so proud of his first car, he reclaimed it recently (it was our original Jeep Jeep 25 yrs ago, and was still on Island), restored it to run perfectly, and yes, we all agree, its the perfect 4th July car! Eddie now resides in LA, but visits frequently, especially to drive his car to the beach!
I can send you my pics too!
My favorite Fourth of July tradition is going out with my family on our Parker boat, parking in Diamond Cove and enjoying a little wine, cheese and crackers before watching the fireworks from Casco Bay!
Love the pictures. It all looks so idyllic. On the 4th of July I enjoy being with immediate and extended family at our house at Seabrook Island, SC , watching fireworks on the golf course and of course the parade.
Love South Carolina! We used to go to Litchfield and Edisto to the beach.
