Leeward Island Escape

This year, Tim and I gave each other a trip for Christmas.  Six blissful days away from the frigid cold.

We did some research  – googled “warm” and “beach” and “best rum punch”

 
Too many options…

Until I got an email with a Black Friday special from our favorite place.

We were trying to be original and adventurous – try something new.

But it was too hard to resist.  Here we come Nisbet Plantation!

By some miracle, we had enough American Airline miles to get down and back for FREE, woo hoo!!!!

 
Our agenda was long walks in the morning, followed by reading, swimming and napping.  And a sunset rum punch, of course.

We were more exhausted than I realized.  One night we were asleep by 9:30!  Rut row.

 
It was a blissful little trip.  We also celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary (which is TODAY) while we were there.

This may be our new gift giving trend – an experience.  It was fun to look forward to and we had a fabulous time!
