48 hours in Delray Beach, Florida after 14 inches of snow in New York… Â I’ll take it!
Warm temperatures and a low key vibe was just what I needed. Â The lovely Delray beach with a long, scenic walking path allowed me to peek at some lovely homes.
White and gray with a splash of color was a beachy color scheme. Â I love the blue shutters and the matching beach umbrella at this home.
Pink shutters and a gray metal roof ~ adorable!
Half-moon black & white awnings keep this spanish style home cool.
 Â
We packed a lot into a short time.  Beach during the day, complete with a cooler full of sandwiches from the AMAZING Sandwiches By The Sea on Atlantic Avenue. Homemade bread and fresh ingredients… delicious.
One evening we cruised down the Intracoastal for two hours on Delray Yacht Cruises. Â This is a fabulous way to see more gorgeous homes. Â And drink cold cocktails while watching the sun set…
It was getting dark quickly on the boat, so I snapped this cool white house with red chairs before the sun disappeared. Â Look at their cute pool on the right.
 Â
We ate dinner at two wonderful restaurants; J&J Seafood and Dada Cafe in downtown Delray.
 Â
It was a fabulous weekend. Â The perfect getaway for a winter weary girl. Â Thanks to my wonderful hostess for renting a cottage in Delray this winter!

I grew up going to Delray,
visiting my grandmother’s condo. Great spot! Glad you got away – sometimes you just need a quick change of scene.
I love it too, so pretty!
Hi Liz
We have been in Delray Beach since this past Tues. Unfortunately the weather was not too nice the 1st 2 days but the sun is out today. My mother in law has a small place here. We went to Dada twice last year when we visited and will be going again tonight. Great food and atmosphere. Headed for Vero tomorrow and then the Gulf coast Friday before coming back to Delray. It’s a nice place for some fun and relaxation!
Sorry about the weather! Enjoy Vero and the Gulf Coast too ~ xo
