The International Vintage Poster Fair was this past weekend in New York. Â I realize this doesn’t interest everyone, but these are what I LOVE.
Our friend Mireille Romand from Galerie Documents in Paris invited us to come see her at the fair. Â We have found some of our favorite posters at her lovely store on the rue de Seine (see here).
I love shopping for vintage posters and the fair had exhibitors from France, Switzerland, England, Belgium and the US. Â I was like a kid in a candy store….
All of the posters at the fair are original printings and the prices are very reasonable. Â We saw some quirky posters like this little Martian, an old Binaca ad and a Dutch book poster.
I love these two fragrance posters, I rarely see perfume prints.
We found some new posters we hadn’t seen before by our favorite artists Villemot and Gruau.
Some are more valuable than others (Gruau is getting hard to find), but they are all fun.
I dragged my mom and husband to the show and (I think) they enjoyed it as much as I did. Â I am already looking forward to next year!

Any chance the first beach poster with orange strip umbrellas is available for purchase?
Laura, I have the name of the dealer that has the Orange beach poster. Just email me at [email protected].
Thanks ~ Liz
Where can one go and buy these wonderful posters?
The U. Club in NYC has some wonderful, large, framed posters from the early 1900’s hanging in the men’s athletic facilities. Most advertise athletic events.
