It’s always fun to go to a Kips Bay Show House and see all the latest ideas in interior design!
There were lots of soft pastels, shades of green, orange and PINK this year.
This room was one of my favorites. Loved the citrus green with the rattan contrast.
Isn’t this coffee table fabulous?
You could just curl up here…..
Ceilings were a big feature. Wallpapered, texturized and decorated.
Big pendant lights.
I guess I won’t ignore the ceiling!
Two different bars ~ same orange tone. This color was in many places throughout the house, either as a primary or an accent. The bar on the left is a nod to the closed Monkey Bar in New York at the Hotel Elysee. So sad…. You can see some of the monkey detail on the wallpaper.
Cozy pastel porch off a main bedroom. I loved this room because you had a view of the pool on the left and of a dense palm tree garden on the right. It felt like a tree house. A perfect space to have coffee with a friend or wander out to take a nap.
Chilled rose would work out here too!
This interesting velvet “cloud” sculpture hangs over a bed in the toddler room.
My mom asked the designer of this room, what would happen if the cloud fell on the toddler. I thought it was funny, the designer did not! Ha, ha.
This was a lovely little side patio near the palm tree garden. Fireplace, dining table and comfy chairs to hang out in.
The pool was decorated in all PINK!
Even a pink backgammon set 🙂
Loved this guy in the guest house.
More orange…. not loving this shade in a sunny Palm Beach house if I’m honest. Too much of it.
Yellow is much better!
We ended the day with a cocktail at the Rosewater Rooftop Bar at the Ray Hotel in Delray. Really fun! If you are in the area, come by and take a look.
The Ray is a great new addition to the Pineapple Grove neighborhood!
