Thanks and Giving

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We are thankful for many things.  Here is a Thanksgiving snippet from a few years ago –

Thankful that my sister-in-law got here, even though the NYC car service was not as enthusiastic as she was about her new “beat the traffic” app.

Thankful that Rhino ate most of the shrimp hors d’oeuvre because I am sure the rest of us wouldn’t have liked it anyway.

Thankful that our second oven, the one with the turkey in it, continued to work even though it started a shrill beeping as soon as we put the bird in.  We didn’t open it for four hours.

Thankful my husband loves to load the dishwasher.

Thankful my daughters have wonderful stories to entertain the whole family because their mother’s timing on the dinner was a little (lot) off.

Thankful for my stepsister’s gorgeous dinner the night before Thanksgiving.

Thankful that I got ONE veggie onto the menu!

Thankful for my little chocolate turkeys.

and for my real one!

Thankful that we are now watching cheesy Netflix movies as a family in our drawstring pajama pants.

Thankful that we are not getting up at 3am for Black Friday.  Happy, Happy Thanksgiving!
