I’m not a DIYer either but I do love a challenge. I was taught by my mother to buy furniture with good bones, “It will last forever!” This can be both a curse and a blessing as you know. I have to laugh because in the 80’s I wrapped the arms of a beautiful “old” chair in foam so the piece would fit underneath a new slipcover that a friend passed on to me. Lucky for me, she was a shopper! With regards to the chair, she’s about 60 yrs old now ~ but she’s shed the slipcover and big fat arms and looking better than ever!
